Drew Stanley is running for City Council to lower the cost of living for the people of Flagstaff.
Who Am I?
When I returned to Flagstaff to attend Northern Arizona University in 2022, I immediately rediscovered my love for Flagstaff. But I was also struck by the changes that have happened in the dozen or so years since I had lived there. The cost of living is crushing not just newcomers to the city, but longtime residents as well, with the prospect of being priced out of your neighborhood a very real possibility.

I feel as someone who has a fresh perspective on Flagstaff, I can provide a voice and representation on City Council for new ideas on overcoming these issues, and be an advocate for meaningful change in this City.

What have I done in Flagstaff?
For the past two years I have worked in Flagstaff to register voters, advocated for causes like Proposition 139 to enshrine the right to reproductive freedom in Arizona, and have worked to increase transportation access in the City by advocating for a fare free Mountain Line. I had the privilege of hosting a city council forum in the previous election to educate NAU students on local issues, and now work as the NAU Campus Organizer for the Arizona Students Association, where I work to engage students in politics, particularly in the fight for funding higher education.

What I will do in Flagstaff:

I believe my youth would be an asset, not a hindrance, to the discussions and debates of city council. I would be a tireless advocate for you, the people of Flagstaff, by bringing a fresh and unique perspective to our city government. And as one of six members of council, I swear that I will leave no vote unjustified, no action unscrutinized, and no session left phoned in. I will give you my all, and I will make certain you are heard and represented on this council.
